This Privacy Policy explains how the Diet Loom application ("Diet Loom", "the app", "we", "us") handles your information. It applies to the Diet Loom app published on Google Play under the package name com.sukonmed.dietloom, and to the iOS version published on the App Store. There is no public web version of Diet Loom.

Diet Loom, by SukonMed Nutrition, turns a nutrition assessment into a diet chart, a 7-day meal plan, an exchange list and a clinical report. It can be used by a dietitian preparing plans for patients, or by a member of the public preparing a plan for themselves ("Self use").

By using Diet Loom, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Summary

  • Diet Loom requires an account. Creating one means we hold your email address, your name, and an account identifier.
  • Accounts are operated for us by Firebase Authentication, a Google service. We run no user database of our own.
  • Paid subscriptions are handled by Google Play and the Apple App Store. We never see or hold your card or bank details.
  • Your health, nutrition and patient information never leaves your device. We cannot see it, retrieve it, or recover it.
  • That information is excluded from phone backups to your Google or iCloud account, so it stays on the one device where you entered it.
  • That information is not encrypted inside the app's storage on your device. Protecting the device protects the data — see Section 8.
  • Diet Loom contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics and no crash reporting, and does not use advertising identifiers.
  • We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
  • You can delete your account from inside the app, at any time, and the account record is erased immediately.

2. The account, and the data it involves

2.1 What we receive

Using Diet Loom requires an account. Depending on how you register, the account record holds:

Account identifier (UID)Generated at sign-upAn internal, non-public identifier

Profile photo URLGoogleGoogle may supply one when you sign in with Google. Diet Loom does not display or use it

2.2 Signing in with Google or Apple

If you choose Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, that platform confirms your identity to us and passes us the fields listed above. We receive this information from them; we do not receive your password, your contacts, or anything else in your Google or Apple account.

If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email address, Apple gives us a private relay address instead of your real one. The app works normally with a relay address, and we never learn the address behind it.

2.3 Subscriptions and payments

Paid features of Diet Loom are sold as in-app subscriptions through Google Play Billing on Android and Apple In-App Purchase on iPhone. The store takes your payment, under its own terms and privacy policy.

  • We never receive your card number, bank details, or billing address.
  • We receive from the store a confirmation of the purchase: the subscription plan, a purchase reference, and its start, renewal, cancellation and expiry dates. We use it only to unlock the features you paid for on your account.
  • Cancelling, changing, and refunds are managed in your Google Play or Apple account settings, not in Diet Loom.

No other payment or subscription-management service is involved. The subscription status is linked to your Diet Loom account.

We do not use your account data for advertising, and we do not sell it.

3. Data you enter into the app (stored on your device only)

Diet Loom lets you enter and generate health and nutrition content, such as:

  • Patient or personal details: name (in English and Arabic), file number, and phone number
  • Assessment details: age, sex, height, weight, weight history, waist, activity level, weight goal, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, and similar measurements
  • Health details: diagnoses, laboratory results, medicine classes and insulin regimen, food allergies, kidney and liver disease details, and urgent signs
  • Food details: food preferences and dislikes, vegetarian choice, usual cuisine, cooking skill, eating-out habits, budget, currency, household size, Ramadan fasting, and diet-history notes
  • Plans and follow-ups: targets, meal plans, overrides with their reasons, follow-up visits, weight trend, adherence and barriers, and the release record of each plan
  • Your own details as the user: your name in English and Arabic, credentials, licence number, an optional profile photo, and whether you use the app as a dietitian or for Self use. These are printed on the charts you release

This content is created and processed locally on your device, inside the app's own storage. It is never uploaded to us, and we have no access to it and no ability to view, retrieve, or recover it. Having an account does not change this.

It is kept out of phone backups. Diet Loom tells the operating system not to copy this content into your Google account backup, your iCloud backup, or a new phone during setup. The content exists only on the device where you entered it. To move it to another device, use the app's own backup file — see Section 3.1.

Signing out does not delete this content; it stays on the device until you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app.

If you are a dietitian, you are the controller of your patients' data. You remain responsible for handling it in line with your professional, institutional, and legal obligations (for example HIPAA, GDPR, or your local equivalent), including telling your patients how you keep their records.

If you use Diet Loom for yourself (Self use), the health information you enter is about you, and stays on your device under your control.

3.1 Backup files

You can export a backup file from My Profile → Backup → Export, and restore it on the same or another device. The app reminds you when no backup has been exported in the last 7 days.

  • The backup file contains all of the content described in Section 3, including patient health information.
  • The backup file is not encrypted. Anyone who opens it can read it.
  • The file is saved where you choose, using your device's own controls. It is not sent to us.
  • Once a backup file leaves the app, protecting it is your responsibility. Store it somewhere private, and delete copies you no longer need.

3.2 Printed charts and PDFs

Diet charts, 7-day plans, exchange lists and clinical reports are printed, or saved as PDF, through your device's own print system. They contain the patient's name and health details, and the name, credentials and licence number of the person who released the plan. Diet Loom does not send them anywhere; where they go is your choice.

3.3 Links to guideline sources

The app cites the clinical guidelines and food databases its rules are based on, with links to them. Opening a link takes you to that organisation's website, which handles your visit under its own privacy policy. No assessment or patient content is sent with the link.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or transfer your personal data to advertisers, data brokers, or analytics profiling services.

Account data is shared only with the service providers that make the account and subscriptions work, listed in Section 5, who process it on our instructions.

The only way your health and patient content leaves the app is when you choose to export a backup file, print a chart, save a PDF, or share a file using your device's own sharing controls. In that case you select the destination and the recipient, and the transfer is handled by your operating system, not by Diet Loom.

5. Service providers and platform services

The following process data on our behalf, or independently under their own policies:

  • Firebase Authentication (Google) stores the account record described in Section 2 and handles sign-in, email confirmation, and password reset. See the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple confirm your identity if you use them, and pass us the fields in Section 2.1.
  • Google Play Billing and Apple In-App Purchase take payment for subscriptions and confirm their status to us, under the Google Privacy Policy and the Apple Privacy Policy.
  • Google Play and the Apple App Store may process installation, device compatibility, security, and store-account information when you download or update the app.

These services do not receive the health, nutrition or patient content stored inside the app.

International transfers. These providers operate globally, so your account data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on the providers' own safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Who can see your account data

Access to account records is limited to authorised personnel, and only for account support, subscription support, security, and abuse prevention. Nobody at Sukon Medical Tourism pvt. ltd. can see the health, nutrition or patient content on your device, because it never reaches us.

7. Children

Diet Loom is intended for dietitians and other health professionals, and for adults planning their own diet. To create an account you must be at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

A dietitian may use Diet Loom to prepare a plan for a child patient. That child's information is entered by the dietitian, stays on the dietitian's device, and is never received by us, as described in Section 3.

8. Data security

Account credentials are handled by Firebase Authentication. Passwords are stored only in hashed form by that service; we never see, hold, or transmit your password. Traffic between the app and these services is encrypted in transit using TLS.

The health and patient content you enter stays on your device, which removes the risk of a server-side breach of that content entirely. The corollary is that the security of that content is the security of the device it is on, and that we cannot restore it if the device is lost, wiped, or the app is uninstalled without a backup.

This content is not encrypted inside the app's storage, and backup files are not encrypted. Anyone who can unlock your device, or open a backup file, may be able to read it. We therefore strongly recommend that you:

  • use a device passcode or biometric lock, and do not share the device;
  • keep your device operating system updated;
  • use a strong and unique password for your Diet Loom account;
  • store exported backup files somewhere private, and delete copies you no longer need;
  • use secure methods when sharing printed charts or PDFs.

No device, operating system, export workflow, or storage location can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Data retention

Type of dataRetention
Your account record (email, name, UID, sign-in metadata)Kept while your account exists. Deleted immediately when you delete your account
Subscription recordsKept while your account exists, and afterwards only as long as tax and accounting law requires
Health, nutrition and patient content in the appOn your device only, until you delete it in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app
Your own details (name, credentials, licence number, photo)On your device only, until you change them, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app
Backup files, printed charts and PDFsRemain wherever you saved or sent them, until you or the recipient deletes them
Emails you send to the privacy contactKept only as long as needed to answer your request, meet a legal obligation, or resolve a dispute, then deleted

10. Deleting your account and your data

Delete your account from inside the app. Open My Profile, choose Delete my account, and confirm. The account record is erased immediately and permanently. This cannot be undone. For your security, the app may ask you to sign in again first.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it first in your Google Play or Apple account settings, or the store may continue to charge you.

Delete it without installing the app. A web form is also available for deleting an account without the app installed, as required by Google Play. Its address is given on the app's store listing.

Deleting the content on your device. Account deletion does not erase the health, nutrition and patient content held on your device, because we cannot reach it. To remove it, clear the app's storage (on Android: Settings → Apps → Diet Loom → Storage → Clear storage) or uninstall the app. Then delete any backup files, charts and PDFs from wherever you saved them, and ask anyone you shared them with to delete their copies.

By email. You can also write to info@sukonmed.com with the subject line "Diet Loom Data Deletion Request". We will action the request after reasonable identity verification, normally within 30 days, unless retention is required by law or necessary for security or dispute resolution.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, and to request a portable copy of it.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, these rights arise under the GDPR and UK GDPR, and the legal bases we rely on are set out in Section 2.4.

In practice:

  • Access and correction — your name and email are shown in the app, and can be changed there.
  • Deletion — use Delete my account, as described in Section 10.
  • Portability — the content you enter is already on your device, and My Profile → Backup → Export gives you a complete copy of it.
  • Most content rights are exercised directly on your own device, because that is where the content is.

For anything else, contact info@sukonmed.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

12. Medical disclaimer

Diet Loom prepares diet plans from published guidelines, using fixed rules. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat any condition, and it never changes medication doses. It is not a substitute for advice from a doctor or a registered dietitian. If you use Diet Loom for yourself and have a medical condition, are pregnant, or take medicines that affect blood sugar, review your plan with your doctor or dietitian before following it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when app features, platform requirements, or data-handling practices change. The current version, with its effective date, will always be available at this URL. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Diet Loom after an update means you accept the revised policy.
